Priority: High

This extension enables us to feature a user to highlight their contributions. A user may be shown, for example, on the main page of the site. It will be similar to the “my social profile” component with the following differences:

There will be 3 tabs:

• A tab for user’s personal information and avatar
  
• An activity tab (same as “my social profile” page)
  
• A contributions tab (this should also be added to “my social profile” page)
  

• There may be a 4th tab for skils
  

• It will be similar to the existing my_social_profile functionality shown below
  

It will be different from existing my_social_profile functionality in the following ways:

• It will not show messages on the page
  
• It is not the logged-in users’ profile, it is a select user on the page
  

Design considerations

An alternate approach may be where many featured social profiles are shown, but only the avatars. Clicking on the avatar takes you to the users’ social profile page.

Technical design notes

A MediaWiki? extension also exposed as a Special Page. The extension would take a username as an input parameter.

It will show up on the home page as a portlet
