UX Goals

  1. For the user to be able recognize those “featured content of MIKE2.0” that we think are the most valuable
  2. For the user to be able to understand key MIKE2.0 concepts, some of which are quite complex
  3. For the user to register to MIKE2.0 and to give proper accreditation for use of the approach
  4. For the user to share some of their intellectual property after they have implemented their approach
  5. For the user to download omCollab and implemented it in their organization, helping to build the integrated content repository
  6. For the user to post their case study on the MIKE2.0 site

Required Capabilities

  1. The content featuring extension on the main page highlights the Collaborative Governance concept as one of the key aspects of MIKE2.0 and encourages users to further investigate the approach
  2. The user clicks further onto some of the wiki pages Collaborative Governance. From the navigation extension they can very quickly understand:
    • Where this article fits in the overall approach
    • Where there are other articles like this article
    • Who contributed to the article
    • How they can apply this approach
    • How others have applied this approach
    • Who they can reach out to for help
    • The technology assets that exist for this approach as part of MIKE2.0
  1. As Collaborative Governance is quite a complex subject and unique to MIKE2.0, additional training materials are provided. The user clicks on the E-Learning Component? to receive multi-media based training on the approach.
  1. The user wants to ask a question on the article. They click on the conversation extension. This component provides a single mechanism from which the user can:
    • Decide where, who and how they should ask questions (forums, social profile walls, talk page)
    • << Design consideration: how to do this best without confusing the user. It should be seamless >>
  1. The user downloads omCollab and receives additional installation instructions and design patterns to build a solution for collaborative governance.
  1. To create mashups and fulfill the integrated content repository approach, the user integrates to the hosted mashup component on MIKE2.0.
